About the Power BI & SQL Specialist role:

We are looking for an experienced IT Specialist with expertise in Power BI to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a key role in transforming data into actionable insights, enabling data-driven decision-making across our organization. This role requires a mix of technical skills, business insight, and an eye for design to create visually appealing and highly functional dashboards.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Power BI Development & Management

    • Design, develop, and maintain Power BI reports, dashboards, and visualizations.
    • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
    • Develop data models that integrate with multiple data sources.

Data Integration & Analysis

    • Use SQL and other data manipulation tools to transform and validate data.
    • Manage data integration from various sources to provide consistent and reliable data views.
    • Perform ad-hoc data analysis to support different business units and strategic initiatives.

User Training & Support

      • Train end-users on Power BI functionalities, including report creation, filtering, and navigation.
      • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for Power BI issues.

 

Qualifications:

      • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field.
      • 3+ years of experience in a similar role, with a strong focus on Power BI development and data analysis.
      • Proficiency in Power BI, including Power Query and data modeling.
      • Solid understanding of SQL and database management.
      • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
      • Excellent communication skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams.

 

Preferred Skills:

      • Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS) is a plus.
      • Knowledge of other BI tools is an advantage.
      • Knowledge of Office 365 suite, SharePoint Online.
      • Provide technical assistance and support for incoming queries and issues related to computer systems, software, and hardware.
      • Guide users through step-by-step solutions for IT issues and escalate when necessary.
